Digitrans is a new member of the International Alliance for Mobility Testing and Standardization (IAMTS)

IAMTS was founded in 2019 by TÜV SÜD, the Society of Automotive Engineers International (SAE), the China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATARC), the Shanghai Intelligent Automotive Center (SIAC) and the International Transportation Innovation Center (ITIC).

The international alliance is taking on the task of developing and harmonizing globally standardized test methods and uniform, recognized standards relating to automated driving.

New members of the IAMTS - Digitrans is on board

Since the foundation of IAMTS 2019, many important members have already joined. Examples include the international professional association of engineers, scientists in electrical and information technology (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers IEEE) or AVL List GmbH as one of the world’s largest independent companies for development, simulation and testing in the automotive industry.

DigiTrans GmbH is now also an official member of IAMTS and is pleased to be able to support the development of standardized and certified test methods for automated driving. In this way, Austria can also play a significant role in developing the future of automated mobility.

Move to Vienna: IAMTS coordinates international commitment to uniform standards in the field of automated driving from Europe

In addition, the International Alliance for Mobility Testing and Standardization (IAMTS) has moved its headquarters from Pennsylvania in the U.S. to Vienna and is continuing its substantive work from there in the form of a non-profit association registered in Europe.

By moving to Vienna as the headquarters of renowned international organizations, IAMTS is acknowledging the worldwide importance of certified test procedures and standardization activities for autonomous driving.

The common goal: to develop clear guidelines for the industry, harmonize approval requirements, and thus further accelerate the development of automated mobility.

“We see the move of IAMTS to Vienna as a great opportunity for Austrian companies to collaborate more intensively with international players in the field of automated driving. As a new member of IAMTS, we can contribute our expertise in standardizing test procedures and approval requirements for automated driving and transportation.”
