DigiTrans GmbH has been awarded as Linz Company of the Year 2021 in the category of business cooperation by the Upper Austrian Chamber of Commerce.
The motto of the Linz Company of the Year Award in 2021 was “Back in the Fast Lane” and is intended to pay special tribute to the innovative achievements of entrepreneurs in Linz as a business location.
The WKO and Junge Wirtschaft Linz-Stadt, the City of Linz (Department of Economic Affairs) and the State of Upper Austria (Department of Economic Affairs) bring successful companies before the curtain in this competition. The award was presented personally by Linz Mayor Klaus Luger to CEO Eva Tatschl-Unterberger at the Digitrans Office.
Cooperations and projects of Digitrans
Digitrans was able to convince the jury in the category of business cooperation. This is because the GmbH in itself already consists of a broad cooperation of regional companies and partners as well as national and international funding bodies.
The goal of Digitrans is to test automated driving and autonomous commercial vehicles on Austria’s roads and bring them to implementation. Such an ambitious goal is difficult to achieve alone. Therefore, communication and cooperation with partners from industry and research on a national and international level is a major concern of Digitrans.
At the end of 2020, DigiTrans GmbH was additionally able to bring AWARD, a project funded by the European Union with a total of 29 consortium partners, to Upper Austria as part of the Horizon 2020 project. In the AWARD project, national and international companies and research institutions have been working together since the beginning of 2021 on the development and demonstration of autonomous commercial and transport vehicles in order to improve their use for real logistics under difficult weather conditions.
