AWARD H2020 – Start of test operation for automated freight transport in Gunskirchen, Upper Austria
Start of the test phase in public transport in Gunskirchen. On the approximately 600m long route between the two companies BRP-Rotax and the freight forwarder DB Schenker Austria, an automated electric truck with test approval will be tested in real operation from June 12, 2023.
ADAS sensor tests with artificially generated rain – Digitrans Proving Ground for Automated Driving

Automated test vehicle Digitrans eVAN – preparations for Digibus® pilot operation in Austria
The automated test vehicle Digitrans eVAN will start its first pilot project in 2023. The vehicle will soon be on the road as “Digibus® 2.0” in the municipality of Koppl in Salzburg. At the end of 2022, Salzburg Research and Digitrans GmbH carried out initial measurement tests in preparation for the automated pilot operation.

Rain tests for automated driving – Digitrans launches Outdoor Rain Plant
On November 16, 2022, the specially developed outdoor rain plant for rain tests of automated vehicles and their sensors was put into operation. The system makes it possible to generate realistic rain at the push of a button, thus significantly simplifying the testing of sensors for environment detection in rain.
